About Us

Working Together To:
  • Provide networking opportunities to share research ideas,

  • Collaborate on projects to address research priorities and gaps,

  • Increase the visibility of Canadian breastfeeding research,

  • Scale up evidence-based clinical practice and inclusive public policy to protect, promote and support breastfeeding in Canada.

Our Mission

To bring together diverse Canadian researchers in the field of breastfeeding and human lactation in order to foster partnerships, enhance innovation, catalyze new research initiatives, ensure equitable, diverse, and inclusive research methods and practices, and build capacity for future generations of Canada-based researchers. This may include, but is not limited to research on the benefits of human milk and diverse clinical and cultural human milk feeding practices.

Our Beginning

Created in 2023 by a group of breastfeeding researchers to increase research capacity and advocacy in Canada.
